Chintan surrendered his heart to the ancient Guru-Shishya Parampara and began learning Dhrupad from Pt. Uday Bhawalkar ji in 2004, staying at his residence in Pune. Pt. ji is a maestro of today’s Dhrupad music and a visionary Guru of the Dagar Baani tradition.

Shri Ashvin Andhariya
Ashvin Bhai, nephew of the late Shri Rasiklal Andhariya ji, was Chintan’s first Guru — the one who taught him how to strike a note on the Tanpura. During his school days in his hometown of Bhavnagar, Chintan was blessed to learn the techniques of the Kirana Gharana from him. His blissful teaching sparked the search for deeper knowledge.

Laxmipati ji was a direct disciple of Pt. Omkarnath Thakur ji. Chintan, along with his parents, was fortunate to learn under his tutelage — the Guru who brought music into their home.

My Parents
Chintan was fortunate to be born into a home where both parents gave priority to art and culture. His father — a poet, painter and great lover of the arts — nurtured in him a space for the abstract from childhood. His parents taught him to turn life’s hardest moments into opportunity, and gifted him the passion to follow the call of his heart. Their deepest lessons of honesty, transparency and positivity have made his entire journey more joyful and reflective.
