Alembic Dhrupad Foundation
Preserving & Sharing the Living Tradition of Dhrupad
A home for the ancient, meditative art of Dhrupad in Vadodara — bringing performance, teaching and preservation together in the spirit of the Guru-Shishya Parampara.
About the Foundation
Rooted in Tradition, Reaching Forward
The Alembic Dhrupad Foundation was established in Vadodara by Chintan Upadhyay as a centre dedicated to teaching this ancient art. Rooted in the Guru-Shishya Parampara, the Foundation nurtures sincere and dedicated students — from India and across Europe, the US, UK, Germany and Argentina — while carrying Dhrupad’s living tradition forward with devotion and discipline.
